Raminder Parihar, M.D.

Dr. Parihar practices General Neurology and has completed subspecialty training in Movement Disorders. She is certified by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Parihar completed a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. She then obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the SUNY Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY.

Dr. Parihar subsequently completed her medicine internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Montefiore Medical Center, where she also completed her Neurology Residency. She also served as Chief Resident, during her last year. She then attended Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston, MA, to complete a fellowship in Movement Disorders, with special interest in gait abnormalities in patients with Parkinson’s disease patients.

Dr. Parihar has presented original research at the American Academy of Neurology and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society’s annual meetings and has published in peer-reviewed journals including ‘Current Translational Geriatrics & Experimental Gerontology Reports’ and ‘PLoS One’.

Currently, Dr. Parihar is an Assistant Attending Physician at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY and St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY.
